Butterscotch Self Saucing Pudding
Ingredients Pudding:
- 1 cup self raising flour
- 3/4 cup caster sugar
- 1/2 tspn salt
- 2 oz or 56 grams of melted butter
- 1/2 cup milk
Ingredients Sauce:
- 2 tbspns golden syrup
- 1 cup hot water
- 1 oz or 23 grams butter
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees
- Add pudding ingredients in a medium sized bowl and mix together with an electric beater for 1-2 minutes.
- Pour into a lightly greased oven proof dish
- Place golden syrup and butter into a small saucepan and stir over low heat until butter melts.
- Add hot water and stir until well combined.
- Pour gently onto pudding mixture.
- Place in oven and bake for 30 – 35 minutes.
- To check if cooked, make sure the center is puffed and pudding feels firm when pressed lightly.
- Spoon cake and sauce into bowls and serve hot.
